 Set-up SyncTeX

The following packages need to be installed in order to add support for SyncTeX:

A LaTeX engine with SyncTeX support, such as pdflatex.

A text editor with SyncTeX support, such as gedit with gedit-plugins installed.

In gedit, enable the SyncTeX Plugin:

Press the menu button in the top-right corner of the window and select Preferences.

Select the Plugins tab.

Check SyncTeX.
